Playboy crown prince Alexander Cavalieri of (ficttious) San Savarre breaks his leg on a Connectictut ski-slope, and is discretely hospitalized nearby. There work his boarding school friends, cheerful nurse Jeff Miller and his jealously grumpy workaholic sister Dr. Tasha, who only reneges on refusing to treat and hide the spoiled-rotten player in her children's ward to earn a royal donation preventing her budget being crushed. Charmer Alexander soon proves himself a born kids friend and even wins sympathy with Tasha. King Edward III virtually arranged Alexander to be engaged to princess Miranda , but he sees Tasha as an alternative to get out of that on occasion of a royal ball, and the brand new couple surprisingly impresses the king, who sees through Miranda's dirty tricks.
